My right shoulder is continuing to be far sorer than typical. We’ll see how it feels as time goes on.
After work, I had a Zoom meeting at my folks with our (remote) CPA to go over corporate taxes tonight. That wrapped up about 7:15, then I changed and headed to play.
Skypark
When I arrived at Skypark, parking was easy. Surprisingly, there were only a few cars in the lot. There were only three games going. I was player number 13—meaning, I had to wait for a game and hope someone would let me in . . . which they did.
I had a few uneventful games . . . other than I missing far too many of my shots, it was embarrassing and frustrating. I have yet to figure it out, but my play is generally worse at night, though it does improve as I warm up. Maybe it’s because it’s night, maybe it’s because it’s the end of a workday and I’m tired.
I got into some good games with Tim and Paul W. (Tall Paul) and Matt B. (Matt with the hat).
After I hit a very nice dropping drive, which Paul then hit into the net, he kidded, ”We missed you, Andrew!” (Due to rain, I/we didn’t play at Skypark last week at all.)
We finished our last game at 9:27 p.m. I got Matt’s cell number since I want to be able to find out how Matt and Paul do in their first tournament the end of this month. They are entering as 3.0 players. I think they’d be middle of the pack in 3.5. They should do well in 3.0. Of course, it always depends on the size of the tournament and the players who enter. If it’s small, they should easily medal in 3.0.
