I made another trip to the Witch Doctor, Dr. Scott Bergman in Walnut Creek. I was about 15 minutes late to the appointment. I had stayed at my mother-in-law’s condo up there. (She was out of town.) I’d delivered some medication that had been shipped to our house. One was in a small styrofoam cooler. I realized that it must need to be kept cool and went back to put the contents in the refrigerator.

Signed photos of athletes up on the clinic wall. None that I recognized, but apparently they are all happy customers.
Being that missed part of my allotted time, I received 24 minutes of deep tissue work with Tessa instead of longer. It was painful again. Not as painful, but it was half as long!
Rachel spent about 20 minutes giving me a number of stretches to do.
Scott did another chiropractic adjustment. Ribs, right shoulder, right arm.
Then Rachel again spent time with me, figuring out what additional stretches would help me.
$200 out of pocket. Aside from the drive, I can see why Jennifer asked if I was desperate yet before recommending Dr. Bergman. Some is covered by my insurance, but some is not. Oy.
I realized that my driver’s license was missing. Tessa checked the torture room. No dice. I checked around my car. No luck. I had little choice but to drive back to the condo and retrace my steps. Fortunately, I found it on the ground about 10 feet from where I’d had my car parked. Whew!
Back to Santa Cruz
We had a picture framing order that was going to be picked up at 10am for a gift and two of us and to stay late to make sure it was going to be done on time. I originally planned to play at Skypark, but by 7:15 when we were done, exhaustion had set in. I’m still having to blow my nose more frequently than normal and I still don’t have a lot of energy.

I don’t know what’s up. I have had no desire to play pickleball. This has happened before and it’s usually my body telling me that I’m ill in some fashion. I’ve been overly tired lately. This past Sunday afternoon, I even laid down for a nap—unheard of for me. (I started thinking about work and that was the end of that nap possibility!) My right elbow is not good. Shaking hands with people hurts again. It’s disappointing.
Tonight, I worked for three hours trying to successfully move this blog from wordpress.com to pickleballjourney.com. Unfortunately, there were some glitches. It’ll take a bit effort.
It’s been a full three weeks since I last played. The desire is just not there. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to help teach a group of 20 newbies at Sgt. Derby Park. I made up a strategies double-sided sheet to pass out to them.
